  The staff is very nice but did not feel like a respectful guest - more like someone who had to be treated nice in order to keep their job. Generally, the food was made without affection and corresponded to a two-star tourist hotel. Very noisy restaurant because staff cleaned tables and used large garbage trolleys in front of people eating quietly. Stressful. Cooking chef in restaurant had fingers and nails of that of a car mechanic - no immediate effect when told to the manager.

  Tous les soirs, il y avait un thème différent au restaurant. Beaucoup de variété et la qualité de la nourriture était excellente. Les employés parlaient le français ce qui nous a facilité notre petit séjour.

  Hotel was great - did and offered everything I needed it to. Lovely room overlooking the sea and Playa of Palma with a view towards El Arenal. Spacious balcony with sunshine from sunrise to about 4 in the afternoon and quite sheltered when it was windy. Took about an hour to walk to the harbour in El Arenal - lovely walk round the bay but I wouldn't want to stay in El Arenal - no character whatsoever. In the opposite direction, you can walk all the round the coast to Palma - about eight kilometres - if you're energetic enough. Alternatively, hire a bike and stop off at one of the swish sea front beach bars en route. Escapism at its best. Would use the hotel again for a short break. C'an Pastilla is a pleasant enough resort and only five minutes by taxi from the airport. In the past, I've stayed in Puerto Pollensa and Cala Millor on a number of occasions but needed to be at my destination more quickly this time to make the most of the short time away. A restful and very enjoyable break.

  Die Lautstärke im Speisesaal ist bei voller Auslastung des Hotels unangenehm, bedingt durch das Stimmengewirr, das "Geschirrr-Klappern" durch das Personal und die allgemeine verbesserungswürdige Akustik. Im Speisenangebot ist sicher für jeden etwas dabei, ob Frühstück oder Abendessen. Die Getränkeauswahl zum Frühstück müsste abwechslungsreicher sein! Unsere Empfehlung: Um die wartende Menschenschlange an den 2 Kaffeevollautomaten zu minimieren, sollte dringend Abhilfe geschaffen werden - zwei neue, weitere Geräte könnten die Wartezeiten entzerren; der Gast könnte eher zu seinem Frühstücksteller zurück, um die dann noch warmen Speisen (Spiegeleier/Waffeln) zu geniessen.

  Aufenthalt im Mai - verlängertes Wochenende, für 4 Tage Aufmerksames, freundliches Personal im Bereich Lobby, Speisesaal, Bar. Preis-/Leistung ist ok.

  Aufgrund eines Wasserrohrbruches (Samstag/Sonntag) kam es zeitweise auf den Zimmern zu Beeinträchtigungen / Störungen. Unsere mitgereisten Bekannten mussten einige Stunden warten bis das behoben war - wir hatten auf der gleichen Etage dagegen Glück. Allerdings waren die Gäste-Toiletten im Erdgeschoss, die von vielen Gästen benutzt wurden, z.T. gesperrt. Die Sauberkeit ließ deutlich nach, welches wir beim Aufenthalt in der Hochsaison (!!) 2009 überhaupt nicht bemängeln konnten. Diese Ausnahmesituation hat das Hotel nach seinen Möglichkeiten verfolgt.

  As we hired a car we had great difficulty locating the hotel. A LARGE sign on the back of the hotel seen from the main road would have been a great help, and saved us a lot of time.
